I trained at the Wealden College of Counselling and Psychotherapy
on their British Association of Counsellors and Pyschotherapists (BACP) accredited Diploma in Counselling Course and was awarded a Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling.
In addition to my private practice I volunteer and work for a local counselling charity. Here I work with clients who have a broad range of issues. I have completed further training in trauma and sexual abuse and also work specifically with victims of sexual assault. As well as working on a 1-1 basis with clients, I'm also involved in running groups.
I have experience of working for a national bereavement charity and hold a certificate in bereavement counselling. In the past I have also worked as a volunteer mentor for young people at the Prince’s Trust and with a charity for single parents.
I am a fully registered member of the BACP and I am bound by their code of practice and ethics. I believe in continuing professional development and attend workshops and courses on a variety of topics that may affect clients. I also hold professional insurance.
I work with individuals and young adults.
In addition to face to face counselling, I also offer telephone counselling for those who find it difficult for whatever reason, to attend an appointment.
